Phase 50: optimized-pole waveguide-basis audit¶
The Phase-49 geometry is held fixed while the bare-waveguide transverse Galerkin basis grows from y2-z0 to y3-z0 at the same production quadratures. The optimized y2 pole is first reconstructed and its right mode is transported into a branch-tracked y3 corrected-pole solve.
The provisional stability gate requires a converged passive pole, at most a 10% Q change, and at least 0.999 transported mode overlap. Passing this gate is necessary, but not sufficient: the local hole basis must still be enlarged from P1-z0 to P2-z0 before more optimization is justified.
