Device Architectures

Full-chip generations of the single-molecule (anthracene/DBT-in-crystal) quantum photonics device. Each generation folder holds the actual assembly-level artifacts: GDS, STL, fabrication notes, and (where a device was carried through to a build) a master pre-fabrication report.

The subsystems that make up each chip — emitter coupling, cavities, fiber collection optics, gratings — are R&D'd independently and documented under Nanophotonic Devices, grouped by physical function rather than by which generation first used them. Pages here link out to the relevant subsystem pages rather than duplicating that content.

Generation Status What it is
Gen 0 archived prototypes Early nanobeam/microcavity layout exploration (dev27, octopus, Majumdar-reference cavities). No full device was assembled at this stage.
Gen 1 assembled, pre-fabrication single_molecule_device_v1 — input grating+periscope, chip GDS, collection lens+SIL periscope, consolidated into one master report.
Gen 2 in progress Collection-optics R&D (emitter-lens codesign, TiO2/asphere inverse design) — not yet assembled into a full chip.
