Fiber & Collection Optics

Everything between the chip and a 630HP-class collection fiber:

  • Solid immersion lens (v1-v6) — six design iterations: analytical/ ray-tracing shaping, an inverse-designed pixel SIL, dual-lens STL export, and fiber-pressed collection-efficiency modeling. This is the R&D history behind the collection lens used in single_molecule_device_v1.
  • DBT TIR-SIL fiber coupler v1 — waveguide → printed IP-S TIR-SIL → 630HP fiber mode, as one coupling workflow.
  • Fiber sheath v1 / sheath flat v1 — passive, self-aligning Nanoscribe fiber sheaths that drop onto an on-chip lens (flat variant drops the on-chip lens + segmented scaffold).
  • Gen-2 lens codesign (collect / dual / lens / shared) — the active Gen 2 R&D: emitter-lens codesign, TiO2/asphere inverse design, a dual-decoupled lens variant.
  • v3 splitter and fiber-collection opticsGen 3's chip + wafer GDS (8 waveguides, Y-junction splitters, KOH v-grooves, Stark electrodes), its FDTD-verified 50:50 splitter (2.37 dB excess loss), and the ray-traced two-lens 2PP relay from waveguide facet to 630HP fiber (~92% predicted coupling, paraxial estimate).

The grating/periscope side of the input path is covered separately under Gratings & Light Extractors.
