Gen 1 — single-molecule device¶
single_molecule_device_v1 is the first fully-assembled, pre-fabrication
chip: input grating + periscope, chip GDS, and a collection lens + SIL
periscope, consolidated into one master report with a single set of shared
parameters (780nm, SiN/SiO2/PVA/crystal stack).

Where each subsystem's R&D lives¶
The device itself bundles the finalized instance of each subsystem
(chip/, collection/, input/, deliverables/). The exploratory work
that led to those choices is documented separately, grouped by physical
function:
